Finnish Midsummer

Bonfires are always the main event of the Finnish Midsummer, or Juhannus, despite the fact that nights are incredibly light in the summer. I’ve often been away for Juhannus but this year I made it to this little bonfire in Helsinki and thought I’d share some of the pictures I took – it’s a really nice tradition and something I’d recommend to visitors who happen to be in Finland around Juhannus, which is always in late June:
